Akhamanish king Cyrus the great used this flag in battle and upon his thrown.

of three vertical strips, in the center; in the central band a shield with ears and a

The reforms of the king Amanullah caused scrambled tribal runs and the head
of bandits Habibullah (well-known as Bacha-i-Saqao " the son of the water carrier ")
captured Kabul (January of 1929) and settled down a new dynasty under the
name of Habibullah Khan Kalakani.

believes New Flag was designed removing the Red which stood for Bloodshed
from the national Flag.
Mujahid Transition1992
On 2nd of December Rabbani was re-elected president by two years and by means
of presidential decree, the official design of the national flag, consisting of three strips
was approved horizontal, green, white and black, with the shield of the gilded country
in the center.
